Gary Packard is one of Collins Control & Electric’s off grid customers. He has a 4.2 KW/hr solar system with a bank of batteries to power his home.  A Kohler 17RES backup generator charges the batteries when the weather is not sufficiently sunny.  On normal days, the solar power is enough for two days of use, but on overcast days in December, January, and February the generator is on more frequently. This system makes the Packard household energy independent.

This is the new solar parking structure our crew just completed at the Innosphere building on East Vine Street, Fort Collins. The array which also serves as covered parking produces 17.9 kW of electrical energy. On average, this array creates enough energy to fully power 2.5 average size homes. [snivo]

Odell Brewing Co. Got A New Centrifuge System

Here are some photos of a recently completed project at Odell’s Brewing Company…  Collins Control & Electric highlighted its skills as a flexible electrical contractor.  We worked well with the project manager to figure out the design and implementation requirements.

Odell Centrifuge is just one of our Industrial electrical contractor projects.

The new room houses a new centrifuge system designed to greatly enhance Odell’s Brewing process. CCE installed the general power and lighting for the room,  power to the 75 h.p. motor and the control wiring for the entire system… It is up and running and the results have been very satisfactory.

Comanche Reservoir Generator Engine Replacement

A little while ago, we went up to the Comanche Reservoir area to replace the engine on a generator. It was so remote that snowmobiling was our transportation of choice.  Collins Control & Electric enjoys a challenge when delivering electrical contractor services.  Even when it involves spending time in Northern Colorado’s beautiful outdoors.
